AJE FAQs
What problem does AJE solve for brands?
Brands are increasingly signing NIL deals directly with athletes, but that structure hits a wall fast:
-
No accountability loop — universities aren't party to the brand deal, so there's no internal mechanism forcing an athlete to actually produce and deliver content.
-
No production access — university media/production teams exist to serve the team/program, not individual athletes' brand obligations. Athletes have no camera, no editor, no one shot-listing for them.
-
No project management — once the deal is signed, it becomes the athlete's problem to remember, schedule, and execute across a multi-month or multi-year term, with zero enforcement.
AJE sits in that gap as the execution layer between the signed deal and the delivered content.
What does AJE actually deliver?
-
Pre-execution — AJE reviews the brand/athlete NIL deal terms to understand exact contractual deliverables (# of posts, video length, usage windows, exclusivity terms) so production is built to spec.
-
Production — Scheduled shoot days per athlete/region — AJE brings the crew, directs the content, captures raw footage.
-
Post-production — Editing, branding overlay, format variants (vertical/horizontal, platform-specific cuts).
-
Distribution management — AJE coordinates posting schedule with each athlete, confirms tags/hashtags/usage rights compliance per the brand agreement.
-
Accountability reporting — Monthly or quarterly report back to the brand showing what's been delivered vs. contracted.
-
Contract-term coverage — Runs the full length of whatever term the brand signs with the athlete group.
Who's on the team?
-
Madeline Davis — Videography, Video Editing, Photography, Graphic Design, and Branding
-
Paige Byrne — Athlete Coordination & Communication Setup, Content Deliverable Organization
-
Aidan Byrne — Pre/Post Production Facilitation, Creative Director, Logistics Coordinator, and Main Point of Contact
How is this priced?
Project-based, not a flat retainer. Each school or athlete group with a signed deal becomes its own project, priced by scope: Base Project Fee + Per-Athlete Add-On + Shoot Day Rate.
ComponentWhat It CoversPrice
Base Project Management FeeVideographer/editor coordination, production plan build, athlete scheduling & collaboration logistics, liaison with the brand's social media manager for execution$1,500–$2,500 per project
Per-Athlete FeeDeliverable tracking, individual shoot-day scheduling, compliance check against contract terms, per-athlete content folder/hand-off$300–$500 per athlete
On-Site Production DayVideographer + editor on-site, full-day shoot covering all participating athletes at that location$1,200–$2,000 per shoot day
Post-Production PackageEditing, branding overlay, platform-specific format cuts (vertical/horizontal) per piece of content delivered$150–$300 per finished asset
Can you give an example?
5 athletes, single-school project, one shoot day, 2 deliverables per athlete:
Line ItemCalculationCost
Base Project Management FeeFlat$2,000
Per-Athlete Fee (5 athletes)5 × $400$2,000
On-Site Production Day1 × $1,500$1,500
Post-Production (10 assets)10 × $225$2,250
Total Project Cost~$7,750
Does this scale across multiple schools or athlete groups?
Yes. Each additional school/group is its own project quote, but a program-level discount (10–15%) can apply once AJE is running 3+ simultaneous projects, since crew and coordination overhead starts to overlap.
What if athletes can't all be scheduled the same day?
Additional shoot days — whether that's due to scheduling conflicts or content needing to be captured at multiple points across the season — add at the standard per-shoot-day rate.
Is accountability reporting a separate cost?
No. Distribution/accountability reporting is bundled into the Base Project Management Fee — it's the ongoing "make sure it actually happens" layer that runs for the life of the project's contract term.
Can you turn around a shoot on short notice?
Yes, with a rush fee: +20% on the production day rate for fast-turnaround shoots outside the standard planning window.
